The Hard Part First: The last two weeks felt like watching sand slip through our fingers. During China's "Chunyun" season (think 300 million people scrambling home for Lunar New Year – Google "春运" if you're curious about humanity's largest annual migration), we missed a critical 24-hour window to respond to Kickstarter's Zoom call request. By the time we saw the email between family dinners and last-minute factory calls, their decision was final. No appeals.
The $150k+ spent on ads and collaborators has disappeared, along with the countless sleepless nights spent perfecting the campaign page. As two co-founders bootstrapping this dream, that number wasn't just money—it was our life savings.
